The Honey Lake Valley Recreation Authority (“Authority” or “HLVRA”) is requesting proposals from qualified, independent, and licensed certified public accounting firms to provide independent financial auditing services for the Authority. The Authority is seeking a qualified firm with demonstrated experience auditing governmental entities, joint powers authorities, special districts, and other public agencies.
The selected firm will be responsible for performing an annual independent financial audit of the Authority's financial statements and providing related reports and services in accordance with applicable professional standards and governmental accounting requirements.
Request for Proposals: Lawn, Irrigation & Landscape Services
The Honey Lake Valley Recreation Authority (“Authority” or “HLVRA”) is requesting proposals from qualified and experienced landscape maintenance contractors to provide routine lawn, irrigation, and landscape maintenance services at the Honey Lake Valley Community Pool, located at 800 South Street, Susanville, California.
The selected Contractor will be responsible for maintaining the pool's lawn areas, landscaping, and irrigation system in a clean, safe, attractive, and well-maintained condition. The Authority intends to select a Contractor based upon qualifications, relevant experience, proposed service approach, responsiveness, references, and overall cost.
The Honey Lake Valley Community Pool is an outdoor public swimming facility operated by the Honey Lake Valley Recreation Authority. The facility includes lawn areas, landscaped planting areas, open space property areas, irrigation systems, walkways, fencing, and other exterior improvements associated with the pool. The pool's primary operating season generally occurs from late May through September, weather permitting. Landscaping and irrigation services will be required throughout the year, with service frequency adjusted to seasonal conditions. It is pertinent that proposers are willing to conduct services in respect to pool schedule and public operation hours.

The Honey Lake Valley Recreation Authority ("Authority" or "HLVRA") is requesting Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) from qualified and experienced swimming pool management and maintenance companies to provide routine pool operations, maintenance, water chemistry management, equipment monitoring, cleaning, and related services for the Honey Lake Valley Community Pool, located at 800 South Street, Susanville, California.
The Authority is seeking a qualified pool operator capable of providing reliable, professional, and cost-effective services for an outdoor community aquatic facility serving residents throughout the Honey Lake Valley and Lassen County. The primary pool season generally occurs from May through September, weather permitting, although the Authority may modify the operating season based on weather, staffing, programming, facility conditions, or other operational considerations.
The Authority intends to retain responsibility for daily pool operations and public-facing activities while utilizing a qualified contractor to provide additional maintenance, technical expertise, and qualified pool operator support. The Authority will provide daily visual inspections, daily/regular water chemistry testing, chemical adjustments, daily cleaning, monitoring of equipment and keeping of operational records.
The selected operator will work in coordination with the Authority's Executive Officer, Pool Manager, and other designated Authority staff.
