Safety Matters

At Honey Lake Valley Community your Safety Matters.  All of our staff is American Red Cross lifeguard certified.  We take pride in our facility and maintain it to the highest standard so our patrons can enjoy their swimming experience!

Pool Rules

  • Patrons swim at their own Risk

  • Swimming is permitted only when lifeguard is on duty

  • All Patrons must shower before entering the pool

  • Long hair should be tied back 

  • No running, pushing or rough play allowed on pool deck or in locker rooms

  • No wrestling, dunking, riding on shoulders or rough play of any kind allowed in the pool

  • No cutoffs allowed / all swim shorts must be hemmed above the knee

  • Swimwear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentations are not permitted this includes belts and chains

  • Profanity, improper behavior, vulgar remarks or racial slurs will not be tolerated

  • No spitting, spouting water, blowing nose or expelling body waste in the pool

  • All water wings / life jackets must be US Coast Guard Approved

  • All non-potty trained children must wear swim diapers

  • No hanging on lane lines or shallow water ropes

  • All goggles and swim masks must be plastic only

Pool Rules

  • No masks that cover the entirety of a swimmers face

  • No snorkels allowed during public swim or pool rental times

  • No fins on the pool deck they must be put on at the pools edge

  • No Bandages or persons with open sores allowed in the pool

  • No Smoking or Alcoholic Beverages allowed in the facility

  • No glass containers for food or drink, no food or drink allowed in the water

  • No chewing gum allowed within the facility

  • No animals allowed within the facility, except service animals

  • Children under 10 years of age must be accompanied and supervised by a responsible person 15 years of age or older

  • Any person unable to pass the facility swim test regardless of age must remain in the shallow end of the pool

  • Any child using a flotation device and unable to pass a facility swim test must be supervised at all times

  • Diving Blocks are for competition or supervised instruction only

  • No Diving in water less then 7ft

Diving Board Rules

  • Patrons must pass the facility swim test before using the diving board

  • Only 1 person allowed on the board at a time

  • Only 1 bounce allowed

  • Only forward motion/ forward facing  jumps, dives or flips permitted

  • No running on the board

  • Dives or Jumps must be performed straight off of the end of the board NOT to the side

  • After jumping swimmers must exit to the corner ladder closest to the lifeguard

  • Exhausted swimmers will be asked to take a break if their ability to swim is being affected

  • No life jackets or flotation devices allowed on the diving board

  • Waiting divers must wait on the concrete until the swimmer before them reaches the ladder
